I am one of those people who cannot be bothered switching out my handbags, so I wear the same bag over and over again for years, and that all year long! Sadly, my beloved bag I have been using for the last couple of years has seen better days so I was on the hunt for a new one. I decided to stop at Marshalls and was about to leave empty-handed until I spotted this Adrienne Vittadini Crossbody Bag tucked at the back of a rack. I was immediately drawn to its shape, size and colour, and I knew it was a done deal once I tried it on. This style is unlike anything I've owned before, and I've been enjoying it so much that I figured I would feature it in a What's In My Bag since it's been a while since I've shared one! I love seeing what are others' on-the-go essentials, so I hope you enjoy!
I got a really good deal on this bag. It retailed for close to $200 and I snagged it for just under $40. The full name is the Adrienne Vittadini Pebble Grain Flap Top Crossbody, and I got it in Taupe. If you know me, you know I mostly dress in neutral colours, so I always gravitate towards beige, grey, black and brown handbags since they pair well with any outfit. I had never come across this designer before and was pleased to find out that this bag is 100% synthetic, something I look for when purchasing clothing, shoes and handbags.
I like that it has a long, adjustable strap and that it sits comfortably on my shoulder. The outside design is very sleek and classic, and the material has a pebble grain texture. Despite not having any outside zippers or pockets (something I usually prefer), this one is still easily accessible and has good compartmentalization to keep your belongings organized.
The main section is zipperless, and as you can see the flap is basically a section of its own, as it has a zipper and you can add a lot of things to it, with them getting tucked away at the back of the bag. The bag features a magnetic clasp, and I have not had any issue with stuff falling out as it is very tight and secure. There is also a zippered pocket at the back of the main compartment, and a slit pocket to hold a few more things at the inner front.
The hardware of this bag is all gold, including the designer's logo which can be seen on the front.
I personally find crossbody bags to be the most comfortable, and since I am on the taller side, I have the clasp set to the longest length so that the bag falls by my hip.
"What does this girl carry in her bag?" you wonder. Well, I actually just stick to the basics! They all fit perfectly inside this compact crossbody.
